Department OverviewUnited Family Hospitals & Clinics is a pioneering, international standard healthcare organization in China, our sole mission is to provide comprehensive, integrated healthcare services in a uniquely warm and caring patient and family service-oriented environment.Job DescriptionUnique opportunity for Family Physicians and General Practitioners to practice Western medicine in English speaking JCI accredited hospitals and clinics in China.  United Family Healthcare has openings for experienced Board-Certified Family Physicians for practice locations throughout China including Beijing. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available for physicians who are interested in fostering high-quality healthcare in China.  The ability to speak Mandarin is highly desirable. Other languages such as Japanese , Spanish, Russian or Arabic are also preferred.  Our patient population is comprised of both Chinese citizens and expatriates seeking excellent healthcare. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages. ResponsibilitiesGeneral Statement of Duties:Primary duties include direct patient care for adults and pediatric patients in the outpatient setting.  Providing inpatient services is optional. No obstetrics.  Call is not required.  Responsibilities:Examine, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic diseases and minor injuries within the scope of Family Medicine or General Practice in outpatient settings. Order diagnostic tests when required.Performs minor office procedures such as PAP smear, skin biopsy, or laceration repair,Refer patients to appropriate specialties when needed.Serve as a primary care provider and help patients coordinate their care.Serve on at least one hospital or clinic committee.Works on quality improvement activities within the department or hospital in collaboration with other colleagues and department chair.Support shared departmental goals.Participate in clinic or hospital marketing eventsPrecept family medicine residents or medical students occasionally.RequirementsRequirements:Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent) in Family Medicine or EquivalentDoctor of medicine degree (or equivalent) from an approved school of medicineCompletion of residency training in Family Medicine (or Equivalent) at a hospital and program acceptable to the Department Chairperson and Chief Medical OfficerMinimum 3 years experience post-residency in the clinical arena preferredFluency in English required.Fluency in Mandarin is preferred but not mandatory.Fluency in any of the following languages such as Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Spanish or Korean are also preferred.
